Journal of Foreign Languages and Cultures (JFLC) is a peer-reviewed and open-access humanities journal published in English. The journal is sponsored by the Foreign Studies College, Hunan Normal University, and published by Hunan Normal University Press. Certified by the National Press and Publication Administration, JFLC was established in 2017 and the first issue was published in December 2017. Two issues are published annually in June and December.
JFLC explores a range of issues of scholarly concern to those working in the fields of literary theory, comparative literary studies, translation studies and sinology around the world. JFLC pursues transnational and interdisciplinary studies and aims to promote cooperation across national, cultural, and disciplinary boundaries. As a result, the journal is open to comparative literature, critical theory, and cultural studies.
Scholars engaged in research that lead their respective fields sit on JFLC’s Editorial Board, bringing together the study of Chinese, English, American, German, French, Italian, Portuguese / Brazilian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Arabic, and Turkish literatures, as well as advances in comparative literature, critical theory, and cultural studies.
